Babylon’s Ashes by James S.A. Corey

Well if the last book was spectacular this book is tense and beautiful. It is equally as good.

The story kept me on the edge of my seat the entire way. A little slow at the beginning but it was needed and in no way takes anything from the story. There were some unintentionally lovely moments from Holden towards Bobby and Clarissa that almost made we well up. If the series had ended here, even with mysteries still hidden, I would have been satisfied.

The only minor negative I can give is that there were so many POV’s that it could be hard to tell who was who sometimes for some of the minor ones. But I even understand why that was as this book is spread across the entire solar system so it was needed. I am just so impressed with this series, six books in and it is just as strong as at the beginning if not stronger.

I’m probably going to take a break here and read the last three books together once the final one comes out. This is a natural break as there is a time jump after this I believe.

I think that this is one of the best ongoing series out there at the moment. Science Fiction is not really my thing, much more of a fantasy head, but this is up there with any of the big fantasy epic hitters. Great book, great series.
